If you find these quirky characters oddly familiar it is because this art is by Brian Froud, the concept artist and "mad genius" behind Jim Henson's movies Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal. This cover art in particular is lifted from an illustration in Froud’s 2007 book World of Faerie, accompanying the poem called “The Land.” "The Land" tells the story of the elements of the earth taking on a life of their own. Inspired by the gnarled shrubbery of England’s windswept moorlands, Froud, for over 35 years, has been regarded as the faerie artist in the world and an authority on faeries and their lore. These fae invite you to explore their mysterious, magical world, and the remarkable world outside your cottage door. Enjoy these journals in 3 different sizes AND a pencil case!
